Amazon removes many streaming apps from their store, but the Firestick is built on Android, meaning we can "sideload" anything we want.
Follow this exact process to unlock the full potential of your device.
Works on all models:
Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Firestick Lite, Fire TV Cube (Gen 2/3), and Toshiba/Insignia Fire TVs.
Step 1: Install "Downloader"
- Go to the Find (Magnifying Glass) on your Home Screen.
- Click Search.
- Type "Downloader".
- Select the orange app named "Downloader" by AFTVnews.
- Click Download or Get.
Step 2: Unlock "Developer Options"
IMPORTANT: Hidden Menu
Amazon hidden this menu in 2024. If you don't see "Developer Options", do this:
- Go to Settings > My Fire TV > About.
- Highlight "Fire TV Stick 4K" (or your device name).
- Click the Select button 7 TIMES FAST.
- A message will pop up: "No need, you are already a developer."
Step 3: Enable Permissions
- Press Back once to return to My Fire TV.
- You will now see Developer Options. Click it.
- Click Install Unknown Apps.
- Find Downloader and toggle it from OFF to ON.
Step 4: Enter the Magic Code
Now open the Downloader app you installed.

The file will download. Click Install.
When done, click Done (not Open).
Why? So we can delete the installation file to save space.
- Click Delete on the Downloader screen.
- Click Delete again to confirm.
- Now go to your Apps list and open Ocean Streamz!
